Bōru

“Two islands, one sun”

BŌRU is a documentary that explores the unexpected cultural bridge between the Dominican Republic and Japan through the stories of Dominican baseball players who found a second home on Japanese soil. Through intimate testimonies, powerful memories, and a journey across two distant worlds, the film reveals how baseball became more than a sport: it became a language of identity, sacrifice, discipline, and belonging. BŌRU uncovers the invisible thread that connects two cultures, showing how migration, dreams, and human devotion can unite countries separated by geography but connected by heart.
