Raw, Cooked, Burned is a short film that follows an Iranian woman in the throes of labor as she is drawn into three haunting flashbacks from her past. Each memory captures a distinct stage of her life in the aftermath of the 1979 Revolution, revealing how the Islamic regime imposed systemic repression and gender-based violence on women.
