Dag-Alexis Kopplin

The two musicians Vincent Stein—also known in the German hip-hop scene as the producer "Beatzarre"—and Dag-Alexis Kopplin met as teenagers in Berlin-Spandau. In 1999, they founded SDP—at the time operating under the name "Stonedeafproduction"—though today the acronym SDP serves as the band's official name. In 2002, they released their first demo, *Angriff aus Berlin*. Jürgen Kuttner from the radio station You FM provided the intro for the program *Nightline*. Following their debut album, *Räuberpistolen*, several other releases followed; however, their major breakthrough did not occur until 2010 with the song "Ne Leiche," taken from the album *Kontrastprogramm*. The accompanying music video—featuring rapper Sido as a prominent guest star—became a viral hit, garnering over 50.2 million views on YouTube (as of January 2020). In 2012, the duo achieved their first chart entry with the album *Die bekannteste unbekannte Band der Welt* ("The Most Famous Unknown Band in the World"), reaching number 51 on the German album charts. Once again, Sido made a guest appearance, this time on the track "Die Nacht von Freitag auf Montag." This was followed in 2013 by the album *Bunte Rapublik Deutschpunk*, which peaked at number 4. The album features numerous guest appearances, including contributions from Eko Fresh, Keule, Weekend, and Bass Sultan Hengzt.
