King of Basketball

Xu Gewei, a struggling female documentary director, is assigned to shoot a promotional film for a once-glorious private college basketball team that has now fallen to the bottom of the rankings. Confronted with a team enshrouded in failure and players who have lost their fighting spirit, Xu Gewei rises to the challenge. With her tenacious character, she helps the team rebuild their faith and revitalize their training. She also uses her camera to document the growth of each player, including Gao Ge, as they navigate their confusion. Through their journey, she creates a powerful tribute to youth, friendship, and perseverance.
